Warehouse and WMS Automation

Automating Counting, Put-Away and Dispatch

What problem does it solve?

The stock record drifts from what is on the shelf. Counting takes weeks, operations stop while it happens, and between two counts the record becomes steadily less trustworthy. Most dispatch errors come from the same root: the place in the system is not the place on the rack.

How do we build it?

We move counting and location verification onto the devices already on the floor: QR and barcode read by camera rather than a separate laser scanner, volume and placement measured with lidar-capable phones, dispatch checked by camera at the gate. Every read is written back to the WMS or ERP, and discrepancies are reported as a difference list rather than quietly overwritten.

What changes?

Counting that runs without stopping the operation, and a gap between record and rack that shows up the same day. At dispatch, a wrong item or a read that does not match the record is caught on the spot.

When is it time to start?

The warehouse needs a WMS or an ERP stock module that can be written to over an API or its database. If racks and locations are not labelled, that is the first job — no reading system helps in an unlabelled warehouse.

How do we work?

We start with one aisle or one zone. Read accuracy is measured first — the same rack counted by hand and by device, and the difference examined — then writing to the WMS is opened one way. Scope widens once the operations team accepts the flow.

When is it not the right fit?

Physical warehouse equipment — racking, conveyors, robots — is outside this service. We do not replace your WMS: the job is defined as feeding it correct data, not standing in for it.
